Your work profile

 

The Enterprise Technology Architect is overall responsible for the following:

  • Will consult with key Business & IT stakeholders to identify and define the technicalarchitecture required to maintain high performance of new & existing systems, including advising on changes to existing systems.
  • As the Enterprise Architect, he will also ensure that new technologies will be selected & introduced in a disciplined and professional manner to maximise business effectiveness and minimise disruption to IT Infrastructure & Application systems.
  • This will include specialist technical overview and input into new business application systems, technology enabled channels and technology Infrastructure.
  • Will actively seek, identify and source new technologies to support new Business enhancement and development activities. This will require to be aware of and link all activities to Business strategies across the Bank.
  • The focus for the new Target Architecture will be on creating an environment to support new business requirements, especially in relation to improve customer experience & service
  • Ensuring best practices are followed in system design for IT Applications and Technology Infrastructure.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and documents all solution architecture design and analysis work.
  • Create architectural designs to guide and contextualize solution development across products, services, projects and systems (including applications, technologies, processes and information).
  • Lea’s evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies, based on enterprise business strategies, business capabilities, value streams, business requirements and enterprise standards.
  • In coordination with IT Infrastructure, IT Security, Applications development & PMO teams, map out the current IT systems and technologies in terms of how the support the business, identify what issues/compromises we have today an recommend improvements wherever necessary
  • Understand and document the drivers for change - business processes, its need plus IT strategies to support business
  • Determine the gaps/risks in continuing with current Architecture and advantages of new Target Architecture - make the case for change to the new Target Architecture wherever required. Identify the issues and determine technical strategies o facilit9t delivery of the
  • Target Architecture
  • Determine the gaps/risks and communicate how the proposed technology solutions can leverage from existing systems and infrastructure in terms of economies of scale, reduction and management of risk, sharing of information and processes.
  • Actively engage IT management to endorse the proposed Architectural changes
  • Suggest solutions and strategies for technical solutions based on the analysis of organization's business goals, objectives, needs and existing application systems and infrastructure
  • Overall responsibility for Integration of Application systems amongst each other within the Bank and with external Agency systems
  • Act as the prime IT technical advisor on the use of existing systems and technologies to IT department
  • Undertake research to seek, identify and source technologies to support new Business enhancement and development activities
  • To be actively aware of current & emerging business strategy and to ensure that all activities undertaken in this area are linked directly to and driven by Business strategies across the Bank
  • Provide thought leadership across of the most appropriate use of current and emerging technologies and management practices to ensure the achievement of the Bank's commercial and strategic goals
  • Must act as a bridge between a given project and how that project fits into the broader

 

  • Architectural context
  • Must be able to bring to the enterprise the value in integration of solutions of the particular project with the knowledge of business domain, information models, enterprise concerns, industry standards, established patterns, and best practices Governance Support:
  • Identify key stakeholders, including business leaders, ARC Committee, and other relevant parties, to coordinate and schedule meetings.
  • Ensuring that architectural decisions and artifacts are well documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicate the architectural decisions and action items appeared form the architecture review meetings
  • Cascade and highlight the non-compliance/ gaps identified from the ARC/PRE-ARC calls with regards to architectural principles, standards, and guidelines
  • Track progress of actionable and deviations
  • Coordinate and scheduling of ARC and Pre-Arc meetings, circulate minutes of meetings and maintain ARC/Pre-Arc scheduler
  • Communicate the risks to the stakeholders highlighted in the architecture review meetings
  • Maintain architecture standards, baseline technology stack
  • Managing initiation of app onboarding on the back of architecture approvals
  • Have ability to understand request and provide architecture support to clear lightweight requests

  • This profile involves occasional travelling to client locations
