Our practice addresses the continuum of opportunities in business intelligence & visualization, data management, performance management and next-generation analytics and technologies, including big data, cloud, cognitive and machine learning.       

 Key skills required: 

• Full Stack & Stream Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and robust real-time stream processing applications using Java.
• Stateful Stream Processing: Build high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines using Apache Flink, leveraging advanced state management, windowing, and exactly-once processing guarantees, water marking strategies.
• Cloud-Native Engineering: Build and deploy containerized (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless applications on AWS and GCP, leveraging cloud-native services for computing, data, and messaging.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC principles and tools such as Terraform and Ansible to ensure automated, repeatable, and secure environment provisioning .
• Operational Excellence (SRE): Embrace a "you build it, you run it" philosophy, taking full lifecycle ownership including automated testing, deployment, and Flink application fine-tuning.
• Risk & Control Management: Adhere to our technology standards and risk management frameworks , mitigating risks in code to ensure compliance with security policies and data regulations.
• CI/CD & Automation: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, enabling rapid delivery of stream analytics features.
• Collaboration & Code Quality: Actively participate in code reviews, champion the Developer Manifesto, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating across teams to promote reuse.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education - Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Management, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Software, Full Stack, or Big Data Developer in a lead or senior capacity.
• Strong proficiency in Java (preferred).
• Expertise in Apache Flink core APIs (DataStream, Table API/SQL) and tuning Flink components like JobManager and TaskManager.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
• Containerization Technologies: Expertise in Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (e.g., Amazon EKS).
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Demonstrable knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible.
• Strong architectural skills focused on building well-engineered, testable, and resilient distributed systems.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and a commitment to building quality into stream applications.
• Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices in an operational ownership environment.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Public cloud provider certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer).
• Experience with stream messaging architectures such as Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or Google Pub/Sub.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and platforms like Harness, Tekton, or Jenkins.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of networking, security, and identity/access management (IAM) in a cloud environment.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) customized for Flink clusters.
