Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network & Firewall SME with deep expertise in enterprise networking, perimeter security, and cloud-native firewalls. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, high-performing on-premise and hybrid cloud network infrastructures, ensuring availability, scalability, and compliance across environments.

Responsibilities:

    • Network Architecture & Operations
    • Architect, configure, and manage LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, load balancers, and wireless networks.
    • Define network standards, policies, and security frameworks for enterprise and hybrid environments.
    • Lead network performance tuning, capacity planning, and monitoring initiatives.
    • Firewall & Security
    • Manage and administer next-generation firewalls (NGFWs) – Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower, Check Point, Juniper.
    • Deploy and manage cloud-native firewalls and security controls in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
    • Implement web application firewalls (WAFs), DDoS protection, micro-segmentation, and zero-trust network access (ZTNA).
    • Configure and maintain VPNs, remote access, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
    • Operational Excellence
    • Troubleshoot complex network and firewall issues across on-premise and cloud environments.
    • Automate firewall policy management, configuration compliance, and log monitoring.
    • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and incident response for network security events.
    • Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity readiness for network/security platforms.
    • Collaboration & Leadership
    • Partner with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver integrated solutions.
    • Provide SME-level guidance, documentation, and knowledge transfer to engineering/operations teams.
    • Act as a strategic advisor for enterprise network and security modernization programs.

 
Requirements:

 

  • 10+ years of experience in network architecture, firewalls, and security operations.
  • Hands-on expertise in:
  • Routing & Switching (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, HPE)
  • Next-Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower, Check Point, Juniper SRX)
  • Cloud-native firewalls – AWS Network Firewall, Azure Firewall, GCP Cloud Armor, Security Groups, NSGs.
  • Load balancers (F5, Citrix, AWS ALB/ELB, Azure App Gateway)
  • WAF, IDS/IPS, SSL inspection, threat prevention tools
  • Experience with automation & IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Python, API integrations).
  • Strong knowledge of SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, etc.) for firewall and network log analytics.
  • Understanding of compliance & regulatory standards (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2).
