Senior Consultant – SAP MM (Materials Management)

Experience

5 to 8 years of relevant SAP MM experience

Role Summary

The SAP MM Senior Consultant will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, configuring SAP MM solutions, and supporting implementation and support projects. The role requires strong hands-on configuration skills, experience in P2P processes, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

SAP MM Functional Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP MM processes including:
• Procurement (PR, RFQ, PO, Contracts)
• Inventory Management
• Material Master & Vendor Master
• Pricing Procedures and Release Strategies
• Valuation & Account Determination
• Participate in blueprint/design discussions and document functional requirements.
• Prepare functional specifications for RICEFW objects and coordinate with ABAP teams.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support.
• Support cutover, data migration validation, and go‑live activities.

Integration & Process Knowledge

• Work on integration with:
• SAP FI (GR/IR, MM–FI postings)
• SAP SD (third‑party & intercompany flows)
• SAP PP (MRP, production orders – if applicable)
• Exposure to S/4HANA MM and Fiori apps is preferred.

Support & Delivery

• Handle incidents, service requests, and change requests during support projects (AMS).
• Ensure SLA adherence and timely resolution of issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory Skills

• 5–8 years of strong hands-on SAP MM configuration experience
• Good understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle
• Experience in at least one end-to-end SAP implementation or roll‑out
• Strong documentation, analysis, and communication skills

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA MM
• Knowledge of Ariba / SRM is an added advantage
• Basic understanding of IDocs, interfaces, and enhancements
• SAP MM Certification
