Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer – SAS ETL

Role Overview: As a Senior Consultant, you will lead the development of complex analytical models and automated data solutions using SAS. You will be responsible for designing advanced SAS macros, optimizing large-scale data processing scripts, and ensuring the technical accuracy of statistical outputs. This role requires a deep understanding of SAS optimization and the ability to mentor junior programmers. 

Experience: 

  • 5–7 years of experience in advanced statistical programming using SAS (Base, Macros, Stat, Graph, and SQL). 
  • Deep expertise in SAS Macro programming and building modular, reusable code libraries. 
  • Proven experience in optimizing large-scale SAS programs for performance and efficiency. 
  • Strong experience in integrating SAS with external databases and enterprise data warehouses. 

Key Responsibilities: Technical Skills: 

  • Architect and develop complex, scalable SAS Macro libraries to standardize analytical processes across the organization. 
  • Lead the optimization of large-scale SAS datasets and programs to improve processing speed and resource utilization. 
  • Implement advanced statistical modeling and predictive analytics using SAS/Stat and SAS/ETS. 
  • Design complex ETL workflows that integrate data from heterogeneous sources (SQL, Oracle, Hadoop) into SAS environments. 
  • Lead the development of sophisticated reporting solutions using SAS ODS (RTF, HTML, Excel). 
  • Perform deep-dive data validation and quality assurance to ensure high-fidelity analytical results. 
  • Act as a technical mentor, performing code reviews and establishing best practices for SAS programming. 

Soft Skills: 

  • Strong technical leadership and ability to drive project execution. 
  • Advanced problem-solving skills for complex statistical and programming challenges. 
  • Effective communication skills to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science. 
  • SAS Certified Advanced Programmer is highly desirable.
