Your work profile

The Senior Consultant – SAP ABAP is responsible for design, development, enhancement, and support of SAP ABAP solutions across SAP ECC and S/4HANA landscapes. The role involves close collaboration with functional teams, delivering high‑quality technical solutions, and ensuring performance, scalability, and compliance with SAP standards.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP programs including:
• Reports (ALV, Interactive)
• Enhancements (User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancements Framework)
• Forms (SmartForms, SAPscript, Adobe Forms)
• Interfaces (IDocs, RFCs, Proxies, BAPIs)
• Develop and optimize CDS Views and AMDPs (S/4HANA).
• Implement OOPs ABAP and reusable frameworks.
• Perform ABAP code adaptation for S/4HANA migration.
• Replace legacy constructs with HANA-optimized syntax.
• Work with ABAP on HANA, Open SQL enhancements, and performance tuning.
• Support RAP / RESTful programming model (preferred).
• Build and support integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Prepare technical design documents (TDDs) and solution specifications.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure SAP best practices are followed.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure compliance with security, transport, and audit standards.
• Provide production support and root-cause analysis.
• Mentor junior ABAP developers and offshore teams.
• Participate in cutover, go‑live, and hypercare activities.

Key Skills Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 7–10+ years of strong SAP ABAP development experience.
• Hands-on expertise in:
• Reports, Enhancements, Interfaces, Forms
• ABAP Objects (OOPs)
• IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA development.
• Working knowledge of:
• CDS Views
• AMDP
• ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC)
• Exposure to OData / SAP Gateway / Fiori is an advantage.
• Good understanding of SAP modules such as:
• FI / CO
• MM
• SD
• HR (optional)
• Ability to work closely with functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and client-facing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables.
• Experience working in global delivery models.
