Your work profile

The Senior Consultant – SAP MDG will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP Master Data Governance solutions to ensure high-quality, consistent, and compliant master data across the enterprise. The role requires strong functional expertise, client-facing skills, and the ability to lead MDG workstreams independently.

• Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP MDG for domains such as:
• Business Partner (Customer/Vendor)
• Material Master
• Finance (Cost Center, Profit Center, GL)
• Design MDG data models, change request types, workflows, and governance processes.
• Configure MDG frameworks including data replication, validations, derivations, and BRF+ rules.
• Integrate MDG with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and non-SAP systems.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather governance requirements and translate them into MDG solutions.
• Advise clients on data governance best practices, operating models, and organizational readiness.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for MDG-related discussions and decision-making.

• Lead MDG workstreams or modules within large-scale SAP programs.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior consultants and offshore teams.
• Review configuration, functional specifications, and test scenarios for quality assurance.
• Support cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.

• Diagnose and resolve MDG-related issues across workflow, data quality, and integration.
• Propose enhancements to improve data quality, governance efficiency, and compliance.
• Support audits and regulatory compliance initiatives related to master data.

• 8+ years of SAP experience with 4+ years in SAP MDG implementations.

Key skills required: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

• MDG data modeling and configuration
• Change Request Management
• Workflow configuration
• BRF+ rules
• Data replication frameworks (DRF)
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred.
• Understanding of data quality, data migration, and system integrations.

• Master data governance frameworks
• Data lifecycle management
• Business process alignment with master data
• Cross-functional exposure to Finance, Supply Chain, or Sales processes is an advantage.

• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capability.
• Experience working in global, multi-cultural project teams.
