Work you’ll do

 

As a Senior Consultant in Monitor Deloitte’s Economics team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact insights to clients by managing key workstreams within complex engagements or leading smaller projects end-to-end. You will work closely with Partners, Managers, and junior team members to apply economic thinking and analytical rigor to solve strategic challenges across industries and sectors. In doing so, your work may contribute to shaping public narratives and informing policy decisions—particularly where economic analysis intersects with regulatory, fiscal, or development-related issues. This role offers the opportunity to influence outcomes not only for clients but also within the broader policy landscape. The responsibilities can include:

·      Project Leadership: Manage multiple workstreams or lead smaller engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely execution.

·      Problem Solving: Collaborate with Partners and Managers to define hypotheses, structure analyses, and develop work plans aligned with client objectives.

·      Economic Analysis: Lead data collection, economic modeling, and quantitative analysis to generate actionable insights.

·      Synthesis & Integration: Translate analytical findings into strategic recommendations and integrate them into broader project narratives.

·      Client Engagement: Communicate complex economic and strategic concepts clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats to internal and client leadership.

·      Policy & Market Awareness: Stay abreast of emerging economic trends, regulatory changes, and policy developments to ensure relevance and rigor in client engagements.

·      Team Development: Mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

 

Qualifications

·      3-4 years of work experience, in consulting, preferably in strategy, research or economic consulting focused roles.

·      Strong academic background in economics, public policy, or related fields; advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) preferred.

·      Proficiency in economic modeling techniques, including cost-benefit analysis, econometrics, and forecasting.

·      Familiarity with business strategy, marketing, finance, operations, and data analysis tools.

·      Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·      Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
