Functional Consultant (Retail Liabilities & Cards)

Location: Airoli, Mumbai

Experience: 8–14 years

Role Overview

We are looking for experienced functional resources at Manager level with strong expertise across Retail Liabilities and Cards products, combined with operations/service exposure and the ability to translate business requirements into BRDs and functional documentation. The ideal candidate should possess end-to-end product lifecycle understanding and be comfortable working across business, operations, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive functional requirement gathering across Retail Liabilities and Cards domains
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process workflows 📄
  • Work closely with business, operations, service, and IT teams for solution design and implementation
  • Support product enhancements, regulatory changes, and transformation initiatives
  • Participate in UAT planning, execution support, and defect resolution
  • Ensure alignment between product intent and operational execution
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams
  • Support process improvement initiatives across customer servicing lifecycle

Required Domain Expertise

Retail Liabilities

Candidates should have strong exposure to:

  • Savings Accounts
  • Current Accounts
  • Term Deposits
  • CASA lifecycle management
  • Customer onboarding & servicing journeys
  • Regulatory compliance impacts on liabilities products

Cards

Candidates should have working knowledge of:

  • Credit Cards / Debit Cards lifecycle
  • Card issuance and servicing
  • Transaction lifecycle understanding
  • Disputes / chargebacks basics
  • Customer servicing operations related to cards 💳

Functional & Documentation Skills

Mandatory experience in:

  • Writing BRDs / FRDs
  • Requirement elicitation workshops
  • Process mapping
  • Stakeholder coordination
  • Supporting UAT cycles
  • Translating product requirements into implementable specifications

 

Education- B.tech/MBA/BCA/BE

 

Preferred Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Strong end-to-end product lifecycle knowledge
  • Experience working in banking transformation or implementation programs
  • Exposure to retail liabilities and cards systems
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across functions
