Role Summary

The DAM L2 Analyst is responsible for advanced monitoring, analysis, and tuning of database security controls using Imperva DAM. The role focuses on incident investigation, policy optimization, compliance reporting, and reducing false positives while ensuring database security and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate database security alerts generated by Imperva DAM
• Perform L2 analysis of suspicious database activities and policy violations
• Tune Imperva DAM policies, rules, and alerts to improve detection accuracy
• Handle escalations from DAM L1 and coordinate with DBAs, SOC, and IR teams
• Analyze database access patterns, privileged user activity, and anomalies
• Support onboarding of new databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Assist in compliance monitoring and reporting (PCI DSS, SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001)
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend remediation actions
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and incident documentation
• Support audits and regulatory reviews related to database security

Technical Skills Required

• Hands-on experience with Imperva DAM
• Strong understanding of:
• Database security concepts and access controls
• SQL queries and database activity analysis
• Privileged access monitoring
• Experience with databases:
• Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL (any)
• Familiarity with:
• SIEM integration (QRadar, Splunk, ArcSight, etc.)
• SOC operations and incident response lifecycle
• MITRE ATT&CK (relevant to data access techniques)

Experience & Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in DAM, SOC, or database security roles
• Experience working with DBAs and application teams
• Strong analytical and communication skills

 Desired qualifications

• Education B. E / B.Tech (Tier 1/2) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields
