Your work profile

We are looking for a Database Developer / Administrator with strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL DBA + Development. The ideal candidate should have expertise in database performance, SQL development, backup/recovery, schema design, migration, and Time Series Databases, preferably QuestDB. Experience in high-throughput, real-time environments will be highly preferred.

Key skills required: 

• Manage and develop PostgreSQL databases across development, testing, and production environments.
• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting.
• Design and implement backup and recovery strategies and execute database recovery procedures.
• Develop complex SQL queries, functions, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Design and maintain database schemas and Physical Data Models (PDM).
• Work on database migration, upgrades, and data movement projects.
• Manage and optimize Time Series Databases, preferably QuestDB.
• Support high-volume, high-throughput and real-time data processing environments.
• Monitor database health, capacity, performance, availability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with application developers, architects, DevOps, and data teams to optimize database solutions.
• Identify database issues and implement proactive performance and reliability improvements.

Experience:

• 5–10 years of overall database experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL DBA + Development.
• Proven experience in performance tuning and complex SQL development.
• Experience with backup/recovery and database migration projects.
• Exposure to QuestDB or other Time Series Databases.
• Experience working with high-volume / real-time applications is preferred.
