Your work profile
The AWS data engineer is responsible for managing client relationships and overseeing the successful delivery of programs or accounts. This role serves as the primary point of contact between the organization and its clients, ensuring alignment of goals, timelines, budgets, and expected outcomes while driving client satisfaction and business growth.
Key Skills & Competencies
- 6+ years of experience in Design and implement batch and real-time data pipelines using AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines on AWS.
- Develop and manage data lakes using Amazon S3 and data warehouses using Amazon Redshift.
- Build ETL/ELT workflows using Glue, PySpark, and SQL for large-scale data processing.
- Work with streaming data architectures using Amazon Kinesis and event-driven processing.
- Design data models and optimize data storage for performance and scalability.
- Implement data quality frameworks, validation rules, and monitoring solutions using CloudWatch.
- Ensure data security, governance, and compliance using IAM, encryption, and access controls.
- Optimize cost, performance, and resource usage across AWS data services.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to define technical solutions.
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for production issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews and technical guidance.
- Support CI/CD implementation using Git, Jenkins, and DevOps toolchains.
- Contribute to solution design, client discussions, and pre-sales activities.
- Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Glue, EMR, Redshift, Kinesis, Lambda, and Athena.
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL for data engineering.
- Experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed data systems.
- Experience with real-time and batch data processing architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in client-facing consulting environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education - B. tech or BE
Success Metrics
- AWS Certified Data Engineer
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL for data engineering.
- Support CI/CD implementation using Git, Jenkins, and DevOps toolchains.
- Build ETL/ELT workflows using Glue, PySpark, and SQL for large-scale data processing.
- Experience with big data tools such as Spark, Hive, and Kafka.
- Exposure to data governance, lineage, and observability tools.
- Experience working in Agile / SAFe methodologies.
