Your work profile

We are seeking a Database Migration and Modernization specialist to lead the transformation, optimization and migration. Focus entirely on profiling legacy architecture (Oracle DB, MSSQL, Postgres SQL, MySQL), refactoring schema/code, optimizing performance and migrating workloads to modern data platforms.

 Key Skills required:

• Database Migration and Modernization Specialist (Oracle DB, MSSQL, Postgres SQL, MySQL)
• Database Migration and Re-platforming
• Lead end to end data migration projects from legacy system to modern platforms.
• Map source to target data schemas, convert complex data types and manage structural refactoring
•  Advanced SQL Performance Tuning
• Profile and rewrite poorly performing queries, stored procedures and triggers across database.
• Analyze execution plans, design optimal indexing strategies.
• Database Modernization and Code refactoring
• Implement modern data practices, including zero-downtime schema migrations and integrating database changes into CI/CD pipelines
• Multi-Engine Expertise
• Deep Structural understanding of Oracle DB, MSSQL, Postgres SQL, MySQL
• Migration Utilities:
• Hands-on experience with schema conversion and data movement utilities(Oracle ODI, Oracle Golden gate, AWS and Azure Database Migration)

Preferred Qualifications

• Education - Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Management, or a related field
• Proven track record of executing at least 2 major enterprise-scale database modernization.
• Problem Solving - Exceptional engineering mindset focused on code efficiency.
• Collaboration- Strong ability to work alongside Application developers, DevOps Engineers etc. to coordinate seamless system cutovers.

• Base location: Mumbai / 5 days WFO & 2 Saturday’s working
