Your work profile

Experience Required: 8+ years (with strong expertise in Oracle Service Bus, SOA, and related Oracle Middleware technologies)

 

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Amazon Web Services (AWS) Admin with 8+

years of proven expertise in AWS cloud operations, architecture, and advanced engineering (L3

level). The SME will provide deep technical guidance, lead critical operations projects, drive

automation and optimization, and act as a trusted advisor across infrastructure, application, and

security domains.

 

Responsibilities:

Act as the primary AWS SME (L3) for operations and managed services engagements.

Provide technical leadership in designing, implementing, and optimizing AWS infrastructure for scalability, performance, and security.

Lead incident, problem, and change management for AWS environments, ensuring compliance with ITIL standards.

Perform in-depth root cause analysis (RCA) of critical incidents and define preventive measures.

Drive automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and operational efficiency using DevOps and remediation tools.

Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams for seamless delivery of services.

Ensure cost optimization, governance, and compliance of AWS resources aligned with business objectives.

Develop advanced operational documentation, runbooks, and best practices for cloud support teams.

Mentor and guide L1/L2 operations engineers with knowledge transfer and training.

Stay updated with evolving AWS services and recommend enterprise adoption strategies.

 
Requirements:

 

8+ years of IT experience with at least 7+ years in AWS cloud operations, architecture, and engineering (L2+ level).

Strong expertise in AWS services – EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, CloudFront, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch,

CloudTrail, EKS/ECS, Transit Gateway.

Proven background in advanced operations management, troubleshooting, performance tuning,and incident response.

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible).

Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices (CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).

In-depth understanding of AWS security best practices, governance, and regulatory compliance frameworks (CIS, ISO, PCI, HIPAA).

Experience in AWS cost optimization (Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Spot Instances) and governance frameworks.

Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred certifications – AWS Certified Solutions Architect

 

Preferred:

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Security Specialty.
