We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis & Security Senior Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Basis administration and SAP Security. The candidate should have experience in implementation, system administration, and AMS support projects, with the ability to manage SAP landscapes, ensure system performance, and maintain secure, compliant SAP environments.

• Lead and support SAP Basis and Security implementation, administration, and AMS support activities.

• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain SAP systems across Development, Quality, and Production landscapes.

• Monitor and optimize SAP databases (SAP HANA, Oracle, Sybase, or other supported databases), including backup, recovery, and database administration.

• Perform system performance monitoring, workload analysis, memory optimization, buffer tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure high system availability.

• Configure and manage the SAP Transport Management System (TMS) for controlled movement of transports across system landscapes.

• Monitor background jobs, spool requests, system locks, batch processing, and system alerts to ensure smooth business operations.

• Configure and maintain RFC destinations, interfaces, and connectivity across SAP and non-SAP systems.

• Support SAP infrastructure hosted on cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Design, build, and maintain SAP security roles including Single, Composite, and Derived Roles across multiple SAP modules.

• Manage user provisioning, user administration, password resets, role assignments, account locking/unlocking, and user deprovisioning.

• Ensure compliance with security policies by maintaining authorization concepts and segregation of duties (SoD).

• Support audit and compliance activities by preparing audit documentation, extracting system logs, and assisting internal and external auditors.

• Troubleshoot Basis and Security issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

• Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.

• Collaborate with functional, technical, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure stable and secure SAP operations.

Key skills required

• 6–8 years of overall SAP experience with strong focus on SAP Basis and SAP Security.

• Hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, implementation, and AMS/support projects.

• Strong experience with SAP system installation, upgrades, kernel patching, and system maintenance activities.

• Expertise in SAP database administration including SAP HANA, Oracle, Sybase, backup, recovery, and performance optimization.

• Strong knowledge of SAP system performance tuning, workload analysis, memory management, and buffer optimization.

• Hands-on experience with SAP Transport Management System (TMS) and transport lifecycle management.

• Experience managing background jobs, spool administration, system monitoring, RFC configuration, and interface management.

• Knowledge of SAP infrastructure management on cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Strong expertise in SAP Security including role design, authorization concepts, Single Roles, Composite Roles, Derived Roles, and user profile management.

• Experience in user lifecycle management including provisioning, access management, password administration, and deprovisioning.

• Good understanding of audit, compliance, segregation of duties (SoD), and SAP security best practices.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with experience in production support environments.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience working in large-scale SAP implementation and support environments is preferred.
