Job Title: PTC PLM Solution Architect

Role Summary:

We are looking for a PTC PLM Solution Architect with 12+ years of experience in enterprise PLM, with deep expertise in PTC Windchill and strong solution-level knowledge of ALM and SLM.

The architect will work directly with clients and business stakeholders to understand business objectives, current-state processes, PLM applications, data, integrations, customizations, infrastructure, and pain points, and translate them into scalable and maintainable To-Be PLM solutions.

The candidate will also provide technical leadership to onsite/offshore teams and coordinate with CAD, SAP/ERP, MES, QMS, ALM, SLM, IoT, infrastructure, security, and enterprise architecture teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide deep expertise in PTC Windchill architecture and solution design.
• Provide guidance on WBM, LoadFromFile, APIs, ETL, and other appropriate migration approaches.
• Lead end-to-end PLM implementation, upgrade, migration, transformation, and deployment projects.
• Conduct As-Is assessment covering business processes, applications, integrations, data, customizations, infrastructure, and security.
• Define To-Be PLM architecture, processes, capabilities, data model, integrations, and deployment strategy.
• Translate business requirements into scalable PTC PLM solutions.
• Identify technical risks, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
• Lead architecture reviews, solution-design discussions, Windchill upgrades, migrations and lift-and-shift deployment.
• Conduct business process and technical assessment sessions.
• Interact with business users, engineering, manufacturing, quality, service, IT, architect/Leads and application teams.
• Explain complex PLM architecture in business-friendly language.
• Provide technical direction for complex production issues and root-cause analysis.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with ENOVIA to PTC Windchill migration, including migration assessment, object and relationship mapping, data transformation and validation.
• Experience with Siemens Teamcenter to PTC Windchill migration, including legacy data assessment, object/relationship mapping, transformation, migration strategy and validation.
• Experience of CAD/PLM integrations across multiple CAD platforms, including:
• NX
• PTC Creo / Creo Parametric
• CATIA
• SOLIDWORKS
• AutoCAD
• Creo Elements/Direct
• Experience with SAP / SAP S/4HANA integration with PTC Windchill.

Education:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

Job Description: PLM CAD Expert

Experience: 6–10 Years

Role Overview

Lead CAD–PLM integration, governance, and roadmap initiatives, ensuring seamless alignment between engineering tools, Windchill PLM, and enterprise standards. Utilize MBD and PLM expertise to accelerate digital engineering transformation and engineering productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical owner (subject matter expert) for govern multi-CAD environments including Creo, NX, SolidWorks, CATIA and AutoCAD within enterprise engineering ecosystems.
• Act as a technical point of contact for complex CAD-related issues and integrations.
• Drive standardization of CAD methodologies, modeling techniques, design templates, and reusable engineering assets.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex CAD applications and data-related issues.
• Develop and maintain Model-Based Definition (MBD) standards, templates, annotation practices and validation procedures.
• Support enterprise CAD integrations with Windchill PLM, ensuring reliable data exchange and product structure synchronization.
• Manage CAD workspace practices, revision strategies, lifecycle workflows and engineering release processes.
• Administer and support Creo View and publishing capabilities.
• Define best practices for visualization standards, viewing structures and engineering collaboration workflows.
• Provide recommendations on version alignment, platform modernization and multi-CAD standardization initiatives.
• Support architecture reviews, technology evaluations and long-term engineering application planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity through process automation and tool optimization.
• Participate in technical design reviews, system enhancement discussions, engineering transformation programs and roadmap discussions.
• Gather and translate business requirements into scalable CAD and PLM solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for strategic projects involving CAD modernization, upgrades, migrations and cloud adoption initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience (Mandatory)

• 6–10 years of experience in enterprise CAD and PLM environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Creo Parametric and one or more MCAD tools.
• Experience working with Windchill PLM integrations.
• Ability to contribute to tools and integration strategies.

Good to Have

• Familiarity with Windchill+ or SaaS-based PLM environments.
• Experience with CAD automation, customization and API-based integrations.
• Knowledge of engineering change management, configuration management, and product data governance.
• Exposure to Digital Thread, Digital Twin, MBSE and Industry 4.0 concepts.
• Experience supporting cloud-hosted engineering application environments.
• Familiarity with global engineering processes, supplier collaboration and manufacturing handoff workflows.
• Understanding of ECAD-MCAD collaboration and multi-disciplinary product development environments.
• Support Siemens NX integration with Windchill and ensure effective management of CAD data, revisions, configurations and engineering changes.
• Work with business teams to identify gaps between existing ENOVIA/NX processes and Windchill best practices
