Your work profile

·       Strong experience with the Microsoft Power BI stack.

·       Proficiency in SQL Database — ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and ensure data integrity for reporting and analytics.

·       Expertise in data modeling, DAX, Power Query (M language), and report/dashboard development using Power BI.

·       Experience working with Power BI Service — including workspace management, dataset refreshes, gateways, and row-level security (RLS).

·       Strong understanding of data warehouse and data lake concepts to design optimized reporting and analytics solutions.

·       Experience creating semantic data models, establishing relationships, and implementing best practices for performance optimization.

·       Experience in integrating Power BI with Azure data sources, such as Azure SQL Database, Synapse, Databricks, and Data Lake.

·       Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, SMEs, and Data/Business Analysts to understand requirements and deliver insightful dashboards.

·       Implement data transformation, cleansing, mapping, and automation using Power Query or Power BI Dataflows.

·       Develop and maintain KPI dashboards, scorecards, and visual analytics solutions aligned with business needs.

·       Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies for managing the Power BI project lifecycle.

·       Strong understanding of ETL design principles, working with both structured and unstructured data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

·       Ability to document best practices, governance standards, and deployment guidelines for Power BI assets across environments.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement end-to-end analytics solutions that align with business goals.

·       Strong data management and Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).

·       Excellent communication and presentation skills for sharing insights with business and leadership teams.

Key skills required

·       6+ years of experience with Power BI stack technologies, including data engineering aspects.

·       Development experience using the technologies below:

o  Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service

o  Power BI Dataflows

o  Power Query (M language)

o  DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)

o  SQL Database

·       Having knowledge of (would be a plus):

o  Azure Data Engineering concepts, such as:

o  Azure SQL Database / Azure Synapse

o  Azure Data Lake Storage

o  Azure Databricks

o  Azure Analysis Services / Tabular Models

o  Power Apps

o  Microsoft SharePoint

o  Power Automate

o  Dynamics 365

o  Understanding of DevOps practices

o  Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration, and passion for new technologies

o  Certification in DP-200, DP-201, DP-203, DA-100, PL-300, AZ-900
