We are looking for an experienced SAP FI Senior Consultant to lead and support Finance transformation initiatives, SAP solution design, implementation, and production support activities. The candidate should possess deep expertise in SAP Financial Accounting (FI), strong business process knowledge, and hands-on experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Metals, Mining, Steel, Aluminum, Copper, or Heavy Manufacturing sectors, where complex financial processes involving inventory valuation, production accounting, intercompany transactions, fixed assets, and statutory compliance are critical to business operations.

The role requires close collaboration with Finance, Commercial, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Treasury, and IT teams to deliver robust and scalable SAP Finance solutions.An experienced SAP Finance professional with strong expertise in Financial Accounting, SAP S/4HANA Finance, and end-to-end business process integration, preferably gained within the Metals, Steel, Mining, Aluminum, or Heavy Manufacturing industries. The ideal candidate combines hands-on SAP configuration skills with a solid understanding of manufacturing finance, inventory valuation, fixed assets, statutory compliance, and financial reporting, and has a proven ability to deliver business-focused SAP solutions in complex industrial environments.

Key skills required

SAP FI Solution Delivery

• Lead SAP FI implementation, enhancement, rollout, and support projects.
• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Configure and support SAP FI modules including:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP)

• Asset Accounting (AA)
• Bank Accounting
• Tax Accounting
• Electronic Bank Statements
• Financial Closing Processes
• Prepare functional specifications and coordinate developments with technical teams.

Finance Process Management

• Design and improve end-to-end finance processes.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial transactions and reporting.
• Assist business users in resolving finance-related SAP issues.
• Support automation and standardization of financial processes.

Metals Industry Process Support

Support finance processes relevant to:

• Raw material procurement
• Inventory accounting
• Production accounting
• Finished goods valuation
• Intercompany transactions
• Capital project accounting
• Fixed asset accounting
• Scrap accounting
• Freight and logistics cost accounting
• Manufacturing cost settlements

Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure SAP supports industry-specific operational and financial requirements.

SAP S/4HANA Finance

Support and configure S/4HANA Finance capabilities including:

• Universal Journal
• Business Partner Integration
• New Asset Accounting
• Parallel Accounting
• Document Splitting
• Financial Closing Cockpit
• Group Reporting (preferred)
• Financial Statement Reporting

Participate in SAP S/4HANA migration and digital transformation initiatives.

Integration Management

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP FI and:

• SAP CO

• SAP SD
• SAP PP
• SAP PM
• SAP EWM
• SAP TM
• SAP Treasury
• SAP Ariba

Support end-to-end business process integration across procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, and sales functions.

Compliance and Governance

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support statutory reporting and audit activities.
• Maintain internal financial controls and governance standards.
• Assist with SOX and internal audit requirements where applicable.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures.

Business Support

• Provide functional support for critical business operations.
• Analyze and troubleshoot system and process issues.
• Recommend business process improvements and system enhancements.
• Conduct user training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Finance stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• CA, CMA, CPA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

Experience

• 8-12 years of SAP FI consulting experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP FI configuration experience.
• Experience in at least two end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
• Experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Exposure to large manufacturing or industrial organizations preferred.
