The team

The Deloitte South Asia strategic growth team serves as a central pillar driving growth and transformation within DSA, spanning several business lines and various technology functions.  We are established as a centralized team collaborating across consulting, implementation, and operation to maintain and enhance client value offerings and services. We innovate conventional approaches, leveraging Deloitte technology, differentiated domain expertise, intellectual property, talent, and capacity to embed continuous advantage and deliver enhanced business value.

In this team, our focus is on catering to the unique needs and preferences of clients in the South Asia region. Your role within this dynamic team is essential for establishing networks and relationships across the client stakeholder ecosystem and ensuring service fulfillment. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other Deloitte leadership and stakeholders dedicated to the client. Your contributions will involve nurturing new and existing relationships, supporting presales life cycles, and playing a pivotal role in driving the success of DSA business growth for the specific client.

Your work profile

 

he SAP PPQM Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP Production Planning (PP-PI) and Quality Management (QM) solutions for process manufacturing environments. The role focuses on integrating production planning, recipe management, batch processing, and quality control to ensure compliant, efficient, and optimized manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

SAP PP‑PI (Process Industry) Responsibilities

  • Design and configure SAP PP‑PI processes, including:
  • Master recipes and process instructions
  • Production versions
  • Process orders and control recipes
  • Configure and support:
  • Batch management
  • Material requirements planning (MRP)
  • Capacity planning and scheduling
  • Manage integration with:
  • MM (raw material procurement, batch handling)
  • SD (batch determination, ATP)
  • WM/EWM (staging and goods movements)
  • Support:
  • PI sheets (XSteps / ABAP / Fiori based)
  • Automatic goods movements
  • Backflushing and confirmations
  • Optimize manufacturing processes for:
  • Yield management
  • Co‑products and by‑products
  • Rework and scrap handling

SAP QM Responsibilities

  • Configure and support SAP QM processes, including:
  • Inspection types
  • Inspection plans (task lists)
  • Characteristics and sampling procedures
  • Manage quality processes such as:
  • Incoming quality inspection (IQC)
  • In‑process inspection
  • Final product inspection
  • Configure and maintain:
  • Quality notifications
  • Defect recording and corrective actions
  • Usage decisions (UD)
  • Integrate QM with:
  • PP‑PI (in‑process inspection points)
  • MM (GR inspection)
  • SD (customer complaints, batch release)
  • Support compliance to regulatory standards (GMP, ISO, FDA where applicable)

Implementation & Support Activities

  • Conduct business requirement analysis and process mapping
  • Prepare functional specifications for custom enhancements
  • Coordinate with ABAP, Basis, and integration teams
  • Perform:
  • Unit testing
  • Integration testing
  • UAT support
  • Support data migration, cutover, and go‑live
  • Provide post‑implementation production support
  • Create user documentation and conduct end‑user training
  • Participate in SAP ECC to S/4HANA PPQM migration projects

 

 

Educational qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Supply Chain / Management
