Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Executive to join our Forensic & Financial Crime team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support business intelligence, investigative, and due diligence assignments. The role involves conducting market intelligence research, field enquiries, and investigative analysis to gather and assess information on individuals, companies, and business activities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong forensic business intelligence and research skills and demonstrate curiosity, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. The candidate will support investigative and compliance projects, including matters related to fraud, corruption, misconduct, and regulatory investigations, and/or due diligence activities (including integrity, reputational, financial, and third-party due diligence). The role requires the ability to gather, organize, analyze, and interpret information from multiple sources to identify potential risks, reputational concerns, and relevant market insights. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, able to take initiative, and have strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Executive in our Forensic & Financial Crime team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and member firm counterparts with the intention to exceed member firm expectations. You’ll:
• Gain a deep understanding of each client’s business model, processes, and procedures, tailoring insights to suit sector-specific risks and dynamics.
• Perform discreet calling to gather confidential insights.
• Conduct open-source and media research to gather background information on individuals, entities, and transactions relevant to investigative engagements.
• Review and analyze publicly available information, corporate records, and media sources to identify potential reputational, regulatory, or financial risks.
• Conduct market intelligence (MI) activity including field visits and on ground investigation/enquiries to gather information on target individuals, companies, and business operations.
• Identify and interact with relevant industry sources, including vendors, competitors, employees, and other relevant stakeholders to collect insights.
• Perform L2 source enquiries by contacting knowledgeable sources to verify professional background, reputation, management style, and business practices of the subject.
• Collect and analyze sectoral and market-related information relevant to the assignment.
• Validate information obtained from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Prepare detailed field notes and support the preparation of market intelligence reports.
• Coordinate with internal research and project teams to cross-check findings and align information with project requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of sources and information in accordance with professional standards.
• Ensure timely completion of field enquiries and reporting in line with project timelines.
• Compile and organize research findings into concise investigative summaries, highlighting key risks, red flags, and relevant contextual information to support case assessments.
Skills, Experience & Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, International Relations, or another relevant discipline with strong research and analytical components.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in market intelligence, investigative research, due diligence, risk advisory, or related research-based roles.
• Strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from multiple sources.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, research databases, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools/platforms.
• Exposure to investigative research, due diligence assignments, background checks, or discreet source enquiries is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to ensuring accuracy and reliability of information.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with industry sources and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with team members on larger projects.
• Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to prepare clear and structured research outputs.

• Base location: Gurugram/ Noida
