The team

The Deloitte South Asia strategic growth team serves as a central pillar driving growth and transformation within DSA, spanning several business lines and various technology functions.  We are established as a centralized team collaborating across consulting, implementation, and operation to maintain and enhance client value offerings and services. We innovate conventional approaches, leveraging Deloitte technology, differentiated domain expertise, intellectual property, talent, and capacity to embed continuous advantage and deliver enhanced business value.

In this team, our focus is on catering to the unique needs and preferences of clients in the South Asia region. Your role within this dynamic team is essential for establishing networks and relationships across the client stakeholder ecosystem and ensuring service fulfillment. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other Deloitte leadership and stakeholders dedicated to the client. Your contributions will involve nurturing new and existing relationships, supporting presales life cycles, and playing a pivotal role in driving the success of DSA business growth for the specific client.

Your work profile

 

Oracle DBA + OCI with 4+ years of Experience.

Install, configure and troubleshoot Oracle 11g,12c and 19c RAC clusters and standalone databases.

Perform Oracle Grid Control installation, configuration (Monitoring and Provisioning), patching and maintenance.

Configure, administer and troubleshoot Oracle Dataguard for disaster recovery,

Strong understanding of HA concepts in DR and setting up Infrastructure for DR Site.

Use Oracle Cloud Control for troubleshooting database performance issues

Provide 24x7 on-call rotation support of production databases

Setup RMAN backup and restore scripts and well versed in complex backup and recovery scenarios.

Experience on complete OCI Administration on strong understanding of Tenancy , VCN, Compartments, Network Layers, handling firewalls, subnet, storage options, FSS, Block Volume, Object storage.

OCI infra-administration (Install, configure, migrations, tuning, patching, administration & monitoring).

Manage and maintain backup and recovery procedures, should be good hands on.

Maintain documentation related to infrastructure and architecture of database systems

Hands on experience performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required and ensure high availability of infrastructure.

Experience in Application of OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessary.

Experience on Handling OS related or Application related security vulnerabilities is an added advantage.

Perform tuning activities

Hands on Experience with provisioning storage, compute nodes, network. and understanding requirements for the same.

Experience in Handling Certificate renewals on OCI and On-prem systems.

Understanding and hands on experience of HA architecture in an OCI and On-Prem environment.

Experience with IaaS solutions: virtual machines/networks, on-premise/hybrid cloud computing, cloud identity, security models, cloud monitoring, logging, local and cloud storage.

Should be well verse with ITIL based service delivery for Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Capacity Management, Configuration Management.

Effective collaboration with infrastructure teams, application development teams, testing and release teams

Technical Expertise:

Strong understanding of On-Prem DB systems and OCI Core Services, Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), Subnets, and Gateways.

Automation Tools: Proficient in Terraform and scripting for automation.

OS Knowledge: Oracle Database Administration & Maintenance on Unix| Linux| & Windows platforms.

Database Knowledge: Knowledge of Oracle Databases, Autonomous Databases, and performance tuning.

Certifications: OCP ,OCI Architect Associate or Professional certification is highly preferred.
