The Team

Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation practice helps financial institutions modernize their technology platforms and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions. Our Banking & Capital Markets practice focuses on developing and enhancing enterprise applications that support banking operations, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements. By leveraging Java technologies and regulatory solutions such as Axiom, we help clients streamline financial processes, strengthen reporting capabilities, and address evolving business and regulatory needs.

Your work profile

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.

• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services to support Banking & Capital Markets business requirements.

• Contribute to Axiom-related implementations, enhancements, and integrations supporting regulatory reporting requirements.

• Translate functional and technical requirements into scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.

• Work with relational databases, including MySQL and PostgreSQL, to develop queries and optimize application performance.

• Implement messaging and asynchronous processing solutions using technologies such as Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ.

• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and production issue resolution to ensure application quality.

• Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with banking and regulatory requirements.

• Support CI/CD processes and application deployments using tools such as Jenkins.

Key skills required

• 4–9 years of experience in Java backend development or enterprise application development.

• Strong proficiency in Java, J2SE/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and JPA.

• Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and REST API development and integration.

• Experience in the Banking & Capital Markets domain, preferably involving regulatory reporting.

• Knowledge of Axiom regulatory reporting solutions and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.

• Exposure to messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Education

Any Graduation, B.E. / B.Tech. or a related discipline.
