Your work profile

The Looker BI / LookML Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Looker and LookML. This role involves translating business requirements into scalable data models, optimized SQL queries, interactive dashboards, and actionable KPIs while ensuring data quality, governance, security, and performance.

Key skills required:

• Strong experience with Looker BI and LookML development
• Advanced SQL programming and query optimization skills
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
• Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouse platforms such as Google BigQuery, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or Azure Synapse
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and data integration
• Proven experience creating interactive dashboards, reports, KPIs, and business intelligence solutions
• Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and role-based access control
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working with business and technical stakeholders
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and user-friendly BI solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Education - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field

• Experience working in enterprise-scale BI and analytics environments
• Experience with multiple cloud data warehouse technologies such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or Synapse
• Knowledge of data quality, metadata management, and BI governance practices
• Experience optimizing Looker dashboards, LookML models, and underlying SQL queries for performance
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies
• Exposure to CI/CD, version control, and deployment practices for LookML and analytics solutions
