Job Title:  Consultant | Power BI Developer | Pune | Engineering

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with deep understanding of data analytics, reporting, and visualization using Power BI. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive and insightful reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop Power BI Reports & Dashboards:

• Design and develop visually appealing, interactive, and meaningful dashboards using Power BI.
• Create data models, reports, and analytical solutions to track business KPIs and provide actionable insights.

1. Data Integration and Transformation:

• Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources such as SQL databases, Excel, APIs, etc.
• Implement data integration processes to ensure accurate and up-to-date data flow to Power BI.

1. Collaboration with Stakeholders:

• Work closely with business users and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and develop solutions to meet those needs.

1. Performance Optimization:

• Optimize Power BI reports for performance, including implementing DAX calculations, improving query performance, and ensuring smooth data refresh cycles.

1. Data Governance & Security:

• Apply data security and governance practices to ensure proper access control for Power BI reports.
• Ensure that data privacy policies are adhered to during report development and deployment.

1. Support & Troubleshooting:

• Provide support for existing reports, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the smooth operation of dashboards and data sources.
• Maintain Power BI reports, making necessary updates, and enhancements as required.

1. Training and Documentation:

• Train end-users on how to use Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to report development, data sources, and data models.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Desktop.
• Experience with data modeling and data visualization techniques.
• Knowledge of SQL and experience in working with relational databases.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Strong understanding of report performance tuning and optimization.
• Ability to work with large datasets and transform them into meaningful reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Power BI certification or other relevant certifications.
• Experience with other Microsoft tools like Azure, SQL Server, or Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Power BI Service, Power BI Gateway, and Power BI Mobile.
