Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic SAP GTS Consultant with mid-level experience to support and optimize our global trade processes. The ideal candidate will bring automotive industry experience and deep functional knowledge in Trade Compliance, Customs Management, Legal Regulations, and Risk Management. SAP GTS certification is a strong plus.
This role focuses on ensuring smooth, compliant international trade operations through robust SAP GTS implementations and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and support SAP GTS modules, with a focus on:
- Compliance Management (e.g., Sanctioned Party List Screening, Legal Control, Embargo Checks)
- Customs Management (e.g., Import/Export Declarations, Intrastat Reporting)
- Risk Management (e.g., Preference Processing, Long-Term Vendor Declarations)
- Ensure adherence to legal regulations and trade compliance standards, including US and EU export/import laws.
- Analyze and optimize trade processes specific to the automotive industry.
- Provide functional support and issue resolution across global trade and customs processes.
- Integrate SAP GTS with core SAP systems (SAP ECC / S/4HANA – SD, MM, FI).
- Document functional specifications, test cases, and user manuals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (logistics, legal, tax, IT) to ensure compliance and system alignment.
- Monitor and address regulatory changes and assess their impact on system and process design.
- Maintain clear and regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback on the prioritized initiatives and progress being made on the expected deliverables.
- Manage configuration and customization of SAP GTS solutions to meet specific business needs.
- Create prototypes for proposed solutions and lead testing efforts to ensure functionality and performance.
- GTS Specializations: Define the organizational structures such as Foreign Trade Organization or Legal Units.
- Implementation of integration between ECC and EWM and RFC Communications Compliance Management.
- Configuration and setup Legal Regulations for Sanction Party List Screening and Embargo Screening services.
- Interface build for automatic file transfers i.e., SPL, ECCN and HTS files from vendor to SAP GTS application Server folder (AL11).
- Legal Regulation for Import and Export Legal controls: Configuration and setup for complex management of Legal Requirement management.
- Export Declaration with foreign Customs (US /CA/ EU/ UAE) .
- Manage GTS reporting to comply with annual reporting requirements or customer reporting requirements.
- Partner with export license managers to create SAP order release templates, implement systematic trade rules, and build new export licensing programs
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with SAP GTS (Global Trade Services).
- Strong functional knowledge in:
- Compliance Management
- Import and Export Customs Processes
- Legal and Regulatory Requirements
- Risk Management in global trade
- Experience with SAP GTS integration to ECC or S/4HANA (SD, MM, FI).
- Understanding of international trade laws (EU, US export control, etc.).
- Familiarity with EDI, third-party customs systems, or government portals (e.g., AES, ATLAS, INTRASTAT).
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- SAP GTS Certification is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in end-to-end GTS project implementations or global rollouts.
- Knowledge of S/4HANA GTS or embedded GTS capabilities.
- Exposure to automotive industry compliance requirements (e.g., NAFTA/USMCA, EU preferential trade agreements).
Qualifications
- Graduate degree (Science or Engineering) from premier institutes.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in a management or consulting-oriented environment.
- Willingness to travel for short- and long-term durations.
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
- SAP RE-FX certification preferred

Location and way of working
- Base location: Delhi &Noida
- This profile involves occasional travelling to client locations OR this profile does not involve extensive travel for work.
