The Team

Deloitte Risk Advisory helps entities mitigate risk while discovering new opportunities to create value. Our end-to-end risk services span all domains, from managing strategic risks in the C-Suite to improving board oversight, and from balancing financial and environmental policies to addressing cyber threats.

 

Work you’ll do

In our team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. You’ll:

  • Design and implement risk controls to address operational risks across business units, including process, technology, and third-party risks.
  • Develop control design documentation, including control objectives, ownership, frequency, and evidence requirements.
  • Execute control testing and assurance activities to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls.
  • Identify control gaps and weaknesses, and recommend remediation actions to control owners and process managers.
  • Collaborate with first and second lines of defense to assess control frameworks and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Support the enhancement of the control library and risk control self-assessment (RCSA) programs.
  • Maintain documentation and provide reporting on testing results, control effectiveness, and remediation status.
  • Assist in preparing internal audit and regulatory exam materials related to operational risk controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in operational risk, internal controls, audit, or compliance (entry-level roles may require relevant coursework/internships)
  • Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks (e.g., COSO, RCSA, SOX).
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel II/III, OCC guidelines, FFIEC, GDPR) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and risk management tools (e.g., Archer, ServiceNow GRC, MetricStream).
  • Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
