Your work profile

The DevOps Evangelist (GitHub Enterprise) is responsible for driving the adoption, enablement, and operationalization of the enterprise GitHub platform across product organizations within Siemens Smart Infrastructure (Buildings BU).

 

Key skills required:

  • We are seeking a DevOps Evangelist specializing in GitHub Enterprise to join our team as part of the DevSecOps & Compliance Organization within Siemens Smart Infrastructure Buildings BU.
  • While the overarching GitHub platform strategy and baseline operating model are defined by the central organization, this role will act as the key driver within SI B SW to operationalize, adapt, and scale these capabilities across product teams.
  • Acting as a catalyst for organizational change, the role will accelerate the adoption of modern DevOps and DevSecOps practices and enable teams to transition toward a unified, automated and compliant software delivery ecosystem.
  • The position focuses on enabling adoption of GitHub Enterprise, supporting migration from existing ALM tooling, and defining organization-specific governance and compliance mechanisms aligned with enterprise standards, ultimately enabling secure and fully automated end-to-end release processes.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

• Act as the DevOps and GitHub enablement expert within SI B SW aligned with

centrally defined platform strategy

• Drive adoption of the enterprise GitHub operating model across product

organizations

• Define and propose organization-level governance, compliance, and policy

frameworks aligned with enterprise requirements

• Ensure enforceable controls for repository governance, access management, and

secure development practices

• Support migration from different ALM tools to GitHub Enterprise

• Operationalize centrally defined security, compliance, and governance controls

within local organizations

• Enable consolidation and structured onboarding of repositories into unified GitHub

organizations

• Establish standardized CI/CD pipelines enabling automated build, validation, and

release workflows

• Promote DevSecOps practices ensuring secure and compliant software delivery

• Enable seamless collaboration across developers, Product Owners, QA, Release

Managers, SREs, and Engineering Management

• Serve as a catalyst for change, driving cultural and operational transformation

toward modern DevOps practices

• Introduce reusable automation templates and self-service development workflows

• Act as the interface between central platform teams and SI B SW product

organizations

• Continuously gather feedback and contribute to improvement of enterprise

operating models

• Support visibility and measurement of productivity, quality, and delivery

performance across teams

 

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or Platform Enablement roles within

enterprise environments

• Strong expertise with GitHub Enterprise, including organizational governance,

automation, and CI/CD capabilities

• Experience driving organizational or tooling transformation initiatives

• Experience defining or implementing compliance and governance controls for

software delivery platforms

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation and release engineering practices

• Understanding of secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) principles

• Experience supporting large-scale ALM or DevOps platform migrations (e.g., GitLab

to GitHub)
