Job Title: Cloud Data Engineering Delivery Lead

Role Overview
The Cloud Data Engineering Delivery Lead is accountable for end-to-end delivery, execution governance, and outcome realization of large-scale cloud data engineering programs. This role combines technical depth, delivery leadership, and stakeholder management to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery across multiple teams and workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of cloud data engineering programs across multiple squads.
- Act as the primary delivery interface for senior stakeholders, business leaders, and technology partners.
- Drive delivery governance, planning, execution tracking, and risk management.
- Ensure alignment between data architecture, engineering execution, and business outcomes.
- Lead and mentor Data Engineering Leads and Senior Engineers.
- Oversee delivery across ingestion, transformation, data products, and consumption layers.
- Ensure engineering excellence including performance, scalability, security, and cost optimization.
- Manage dependencies across platforms, domains, and external vendors.
- Drive production stability, release readiness, and incident management.
- Enable Agile / SAFe delivery, without being a pure process role (not RTE).
Required Experience & Skills
- 12+ years in data engineering / data platform delivery, with strong cloud exposure.
- Proven experience as a Delivery Lead / Technical Program Lead / Engineering Manager for data programs.
- Hands-on background in cloud-native data architectures (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Strong expertise in Spark / Databricks, SQL, Python, and modern ELT patterns.
- Experience delivering large-scale data lakes, warehouses, and data products.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and regulatory controls.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

- Program-level planning, estimation, and execution ownership
- Dependency, risk, and issue management (RAID)
- Vendor and partner coordination
- Coaching teams on delivery discipline and technical best practices
- Executive-level reporting and decision support
