Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Test Engineer with expertise in Cypress and JavaScript to join our dynamic QA team. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of experience in automation testing, with a strong focus on developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts. As a Senior Automation Test Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products while mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Automation Testing:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress and JavaScript.
• Implement robust and scalable test automation frameworks.
• Expand and maintain existing test automation suites.

1. Test Planning:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and review requirements.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements.
• Estimate efforts for automation testing and provide input on test strategies.

1. Test Execution and Reporting:

• Conduct automated testing and analyze results to identify defects and ensure software quality.
• Document and report bugs, issues, and test results in a clear, concise manner.
• Work closely with developers to resolve issues and ensure quality.

1. Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in automation testing.
• Continuously improve test processes and extend automation frameworks.
• Mentor and support junior team members in best practices for automation.

1. Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with product management, development, and other QA teams to ensure a seamless testing process.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 6-10 years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Extensive experience in using Cypress for automated testing.
• Proficient in JavaScript and its application in test automation.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of testing principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
• Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent.
