Job Title: SAFe Agile Scrum Master

Experience: 6–10 years


Role Overview

The SAFe Agile Scrum Master is a servant leader and Agile coach for one or more Agile teams within a SAFe Agile Release Train (ART). The role focuses on enabling high-performing teams, ensuring effective execution of SAFe ceremonies, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement aligned with SAFe principles.


Key Responsibilities

Agile Team Facilitation

  • Facilitate Scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Support and participate in SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and Inspect & Adapt.
  • Ensure adherence to SAFe and Agile best practices across teams.


Delivery & Execution Enablement

  • Help teams plan, estimate, and commit to PI and Sprint objectives.
  • Track sprint progress, velocity, and flow metrics.
  • Identify, escalate, and remove impediments and risks impacting delivery.


Cross-Team Coordination

  • Coordinate dependencies with other Scrum Masters and teams within the ART.
  • Work closely with the RTE, Product Owner, and Product Management.


Coaching & Continuous Improvement

  • Coach team members on Agile mindset, practices, and SAFe principles.
  • Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and Inspect & Adapt actions.
  • Support team maturity and self-organization.


Metrics & Reporting

  • Maintain Agile metrics and dashboards (burn-down, velocity, predictability).
  • Provide transparent status updates to RTE and leadership.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience as a Scrum Master in SAFe environments.
  • Deep understanding of SAFe framework, roles, and ceremonies.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, data, platform).
  • Ability to manage dependencies and risks in large programs.

  • Agile Tools: Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps
  • Reporting: Agile dashboards and metrics
  • Delivery Models: Agile, SAFe, hybrid models
