As a Senior Consultant  in our CS&D Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations

We are seeking an experienced Payments Testing Specialist with strong expertise in SWIFT MT/MX message formats, payment processing flows, and end‑to‑end functional testing in banking or financial services. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience validating high‑value payments, regulatory messages, clearing systems, and integration with core banking/payment applications.

Functional & Domain Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end testing of payment flows including SWIFT MT/MX, SEPA, RTGS, cross‑border, and domestic payments.
• Validate SWIFT MT messages (MT103/202/199/210, etc.) and ISO 20022 MX messages (pacs, pain, camt).
• Understand and test ISO 20022 migration impacts on systems and interfaces.
• Verify mapping between MT–MX transformations, ensuring compliance with CBPR+ and ISO 20022 standards.
• Review business requirements, functional specifications, and payment schemas.
• Work closely with business analysts, developers, and integration teams to clarify requirements and support test execution.

Testing Responsibilities

• Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, and expected results for payments modules.
• Conduct functional testing, system integration testing (SIT), regression testing, and interface testing.
• Validate payment flows through various channels (online banking, host‑to‑host, APIs, backend batches).
• Work with defects end‑to‑end: logging, tracking, root‑cause validation, and closure.
• Ensure all test artefacts follow internal quality and compliance standards.

Technical Responsibilities

• Validate mapping rules between MT and MX messages, ensuring full functional correctness.
• Participate in automation feasibility or support automation teams with test data and flow insights (if applicable).

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands‑on testing experience in Payments Domain.
• Strong expertise in SWIFT MT messages (MT103, MT202, MT202COV, MT940, MT950, etc.).
• Working knowledge of ISO 20022 MX messages (pacs.008, pacs.009, camt.053, camt.054, pain.001, etc.).
• Experience in CBPR+ guidelines, mapping rules, and schema validations.
• Good understanding of cross‑border payments, clearing systems, correspondent banking, and settlement cycles.
