The Team 

Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation practice can help you uncover and unlock the value buried deep inside vast amounts of data. Our global network provides strategic guidance and implementation services to help companies manage data from disparate sources and convert it into accurate, actionable information that can support fact-driven decision-making and generate an insight-driven advantage. Our practice addresses the continuum of opportunities in business intelligence & visualization, data management, performance management and next-generation analytics and technologies, including big data, cloud, cognitive and machine learning.

We are looking for Consultants/Senior Consultants for the Engineering practice. The role involves responsibility for being a part of/leading a work stream or module on a large-scale project or overall delivery lead in case of short term/ small scale engagement. Candidates should be able to demonstrate professional experience and knowledge, coupled with strong technical background to help define and execute/contribute to end-to-end cross-functional projects.

Role – Integration Engineer

Total Experience – 3 to 6 years

Education – Graduate

Key Responsibilities

• Build secure API facades using Apigee; define schemas, SLAs, and integration contracts.
• Implement identity & access flows (OAuth2/OIDC), service accounts, API policies, and security best practices.
• Manage secrets securely using GCP Secret Manager; implement rotation policies.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines for integrations, including feature flags, canary releases, and blue/green deployments.
• Work with backend teams to integrate enterprise systems with agentic applications.
• Implement observability: structured logs, tracing, correlation IDs, dashboards, alerts.
• Ensure integration reliability, performance, fault tolerance, and error handling.
• Support API testing, contract validation, and integration debugging.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 4+ years in integration engineering, API development, or platform engineering.
• Strong expertise with Apigee, OAuth2/OIDC, REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Experience building integrations on GCP: Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, ServiceMesh.
• Knowledge of IAM, networking, VPC Service Controls, and enterprise security models.
• Strong scripting/programming skills: Python, Node.js, Go.
• Experience with CI/CD (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.

 Preferred Skills

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer / Security Engineer certification.
• Experience with event-driven integration patterns.
• Familiarity with hybrid integration platforms and legacy system modernization.
