Role – Cybersecurity PM

Level – Consultant

Location – Pune (Work from Office)


Key Responsibilities

• Familiar with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions, VPN, Firewall, Zscaler, Zero Trust, Data Security, CIAM, SIEM etc.  

• Awareness of key Cyber Governance and Compliance frameworks, including industry standards like ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR

• Understands the role of security in enterprise project management and regulatory alignment.

• Drive the governance and portfolio management of global Cybersecurity and InfoSec projects.

• Strong experience in SDLC project life cycle- Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid

• Should be able to support in creating Project Plans in MS Project and knowledge on other PM tools.

• Experienced in creating and maintaining key project deliverables such as Project Charter, Project Schedule, RAID Log, Budget tracker, Resource plan, Communication plan, Stakeholder register, Go live plan, UAT plan and Warranty plan. 

• Ensures proper project governance practices are followed.

• Prepares timely, accurate, and actionable project dashboards and reports.

• Maintain centralized repository of project documentation, templates, and reports.

• Track progress, timelines, budgets, and risk across multiple cybersecurity projects.

• Facilitate project prioritization, resource planning, and KPI tracking.

• Support internal audits, compliance initiatives (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), and risk reporting.

• Support cross-functional steering committee and stakeholder meetings.

• Ensure effective communication between Cyber, InfoSec, IT, legal, compliance, and other departments.

• Monitor InfoSec project performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

• Champion best practices in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.

• Manage vendor and third-party contractors for cyber projects.

• Demonstrates the ability to engage, influence, and align diverse stakeholders across business and technical functions.

• Lead end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity projects across network, infrastructure, and cloud environments.

• Act as the technical SME for network security, infrastructure hardening, and architecture reviews.

• Translate business/security requirements into actionable technical tasks and project plans.

• Drive deployment of security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, NAC, WAF, SIEM, EDR, and zero-trust components.

• Coordinate with Infra, Network, SOC, and Application teams to ensure timely and quality implementation.

• Review network and infra-architecture diagrams, identify security gaps, and recommend solutions.

• Manage vendor engagements, product evaluations, and proof-of-concept (POC) activities.

• Candidate must have intensive knowledge of Project Management, preferred PMP certified. 

Qualifications


• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or related field.

• 2-5 years of experience in IT/Information Security project or program management.

• Experience in a PMO role within a large global organization is preferred.

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF), and controls.

• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar.

• PMP or Prince2 certification is preferred.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
