Your work profile

• This is an SDET role, so hands-on coding ability and strong problem-solving skills are essential. Simply knowing automation frameworks, tools, or technologies such as Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, Robot Framework, or Playwright is not sufficient.
• Candidates will be evaluated based on their coding and logical skills and will be required to solve coding challenges during the technical rounds. 
• SDET role blends software development and quality assurance. SDETs are expected to write code to automate tests, build testing frameworks, and contribute to the overall software development process. 
• Here's what defines an SDET:  

• Strong coding skills (JavaScript, Java, Python, etc.) 
• Test automation expertise (e.g., Cypress, Playwright) 
• API and backend testing 
• Performance and NFR testing 

Key skills required: 

• We are looking for skilled Test Automation Engineers with strong hands-on 3-6 years’ experience in modern testing frameworks and tools. Below are the detailed requirements: 

1. Automation Expertise 

• • Proficient in Cypress or Playwright using JavaScript (Node.js) for end-to-end web application testing. 
  • Strong experience in API test automation through code (not Postman), leveraging Cypress or Playwright for deeper integration and control. 
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable test scripts, suitable for SDET roles requiring hands-on coding is mandatory 

2. Technical Proficiency 

• • Solid programming skills in JavaScript. 
  • Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and version control systems for seamless integration and deployment. 
  • Experience in DevOps environments, including: 
  • Working with Docker images 
  • Configuring GitLab CI/CD 
  • Writing and managing YAML files 
  • Familiarity with test management tools like IBM Jazz, Quality Center, or similar platforms. 

3. Quality & Process Orientation 

• • Excellent communication and analytical skills for effective collaboration and problem-solving. 
  • Proven experience in testing web-based applications across diverse domains. 
  • Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and modern software testing practices, contributing to iterative development and continuous improvement. 
  • Good knowledge in QA principles, methodologies, and best practices 
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and spoken 
  • Potential to learn and to be self-motivated 
  • Passion for programming, technology and problem solving 

Good-to-Have Skills (Preferred)

• Knowledge of IoT devices and networking is a strong plus, especially in environments involving hardware-software integration and real-time data validation. 
• Experience with NFR (Non-Functional Requirements) testing using tools like: K6 , Sitespeed.io

• Education Qualification: - B.E. / M.Sc. / MCA / B. Tech in Computer Science / Information Technology
