Test Manager | Pune | Contract to Hire

 

Role Overview

We are seeking a high-performing Test Manager with 10–12 years of experience to lead our quality assurance initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader capable of driving high-velocity testing teams and ensuring the seamless delivery of complex telecom software solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities (Measurable Outcomes)

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and drive a team of QA engineers to achieve 100% test coverage for all assigned product releases.
  • Test Strategy & Execution: Define, implement, and optimize end-to-end testing strategies that reduce regression cycle time by agreed % through automation and process improvements.
  • Delivery Management: Oversee the full testing lifecycle to ensure zero critical defects reach production for all OSS/BSS deployments.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for quality metrics, providing real-time visibility into test progress, defect density, and release readiness to senior leadership.
  • People Optimization: Manage testing timelines and resource allocation to ensure project milestones are met within budget and scope.

 

Must-Have Skills

  • Domain Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience in the Telecom Domain, specifically within OSS (Operations Support Systems) and BSS (Business Support Systems).
  • Leadership: Proven track record of managing and driving multi-functional testing teams in an Agile/DevOps environment.
  • Test Management: Proficiency in managing mtest planning, defect tracking, and release management using tools like Jira, ALM, or Azure DevOps.
  • Technical Foundation: Strong understanding of end-to-end integration testing and API testing within telecom architectures.
  • Automation: Familiarity with automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, or Robot Framework) to support continuous testing.

 

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Emerging Tech: Practical knowledge or exposure to Generative AI applications in testing (e.g., AI-driven test case generation or automated healing).
  • Cloud Knowledge: Experience testing applications hosted on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
